Sona,

Here's the sequence for the gentle Surya Namaskar on the card:

  • Tadasana
  • standing back bend
  • Uttanasana
  • low lunge
  • Adho Mukha Svanasana
  • knees/chest/chin on ground
  • Bhujangasana
  • Adho Mukha Svanasana
  • low lunge
  • Uttanasana
  • standing back bend
  • Tadasana.

The second sequence shows the transition from Anjayneyasana to Vajrasana in multiple steps.

@abc,

These asana graphics are only simple keys to one version of the sequence. The surya namaskar ritual is so old & fundamental to yoga that many traditional variations exist.

The key to stringing your surya sequence together is the alternating inhalation/exhalation, saluting/bowing, back-bend/forward-bend.

By all means practice your own expression of the sun salute.
